Looking for the perfect way to cool off and have fun in Lynchburg, VA? The Splash Pad at Hill City Sports Center is now open and ready for families to enjoy all season long.

Designed for kids of all ages, our Splash Pad features interactive water elements, a safe and family-friendly environment, and plenty of space for parents to relax while children play. Whether you’re planning a summer outing, meeting friends for playtime, or looking for a fun activity after camp or practice, the Splash Pad is the perfect destination for outdoor family fun.

Located at Hill City Sports Center in Lynchburg, Virginia, the Splash Pad is part of our growing lineup of family-focused amenities and recreation opportunities designed to bring the community together through active play and memorable experiences.

Hours:

  • Monday – Saturday: 10AM – 4PM
  • Sunday: 12pm – 4PM

$5.00 per person per day

Available at the front desk at the Aquatics Complex upon arrival. Children under the age of 1 are FREE.

SPLASH PAD MEMBERSHIPS

Purchase online or check in at the front desk at the Aquatics Center upon arrival. Children under the age of 1 are FREE.

Summer memberships options:

  • Family Membership: $90 per family (up to a family of 5) for the summer

Membership provides a family of 5 or less access access to the splash pad ONLY during all operating hours, subject to event schedule. A family is defined as up to 5 individuals, consisting of a parent/child relationship and live in the same household. Legal guardians must be present at all times for minors to have access. No one-time fees.

We accept all major credit cards. All credit card transactions include a 3% processing fee. We do not accept debit cards. Cash, check, and ACH payments are accepted at the front desk.

FAQ'S & RULES

Do I need a membership to use the splash pad?

Splash pad access is available for day pass customers and members only. Children under the age of 1 are FREE.

What ages is the splash pad designed for?

Our splash pad is designed for children of all ages, with features that are especially fun for toddlers and younger kids. Parent or guardian supervision is required at all times.

Will there be seating for parents?

Yes! The splash pad area will include nearby seating and viewing areas so parents and guardians can comfortably supervise children.

Are lifeguards on duty at the splash pad?

The splash pad is not a pool and may not always have lifeguards present. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.

What should my child wear?

Children should wear appropriate swim attire, water shoes if preferred, and sunscreen for outdoor use. Swim diapers are required for children who are not fully potty trained.

Is the splash pad open year-round?

The splash pad is expected to operate seasonally, primarily during warmer months and weather permitting.

Will the splash pad be available for birthday parties or private rentals?

Can groups or camps use the splash pad?

Yes! Youth camps, daycare groups, and organized programs can schedule access through group reservations by contacting aquaticsdirector@hcsportscenter.com

Splash Pad Rules

To help provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, please follow the Splash Pad rules below:

  • Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
  • No running, rough play, pushing, or horseplay.
  • Proper swim attire is required.
  • Swim diapers are required for children who are not fully potty trained.
  • No glass containers or sharp objects in the Splash Pad area.
  • Please do not climb or hang on water features or equipment.
  • Food and drinks are permitted only in designated areas.
  • No pets allowed in the Splash Pad area, except service animals.
  • Guests who are ill or experiencing symptoms of sickness should not use the Splash Pad.
  • Please be respectful of other guests and share play features.
  • Hill City Sports Center reserves the right to close the Splash Pad due to weather, maintenance, or safety concerns.
  • Use of the Splash Pad is at your own risk.
